DUNOON STAR Lewis Strapp has completed a sensational return to Greenock Morton – seven months after initially leaving the Cappielow side.

The ex DYFL prodigy as penned a short-term deal with Dougie Imrie’s men until January after battling back to full fitness following a horror injury picked up against Celtic all the way back in January in the Scottish Cup defeat at Parkhead.

Strapp had been in on trial at Kilmarnock last month as he stepped up his recovery and featured in a reserve game against Ayr United alongside ex-Celtic and Hearts star Gary Mackay-Steven who has since gone on to pen a three-week contract with the Rugby Park outfit.

It is believed that the 24-year-old has trained with his old Cappielow teammates this week and will go straight into the squad ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Arbroath, where Ton search for their third win of the season and look to cut the gap between themselves and their Angus counterparts, who sit one place above them, to just one point.
