A desperate dog owner is asking people around Cowal to keep their eyes out for her missing dog as she fears he could have been taken in by someone.

Gizmo, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross went missing near to the summit of Beinn Ime in Arrochar on June 17.

There have been no sightings of him since but owner Natalie Crawford has not given up hope of finding him. She told this newspaper: “We were almost at the summit of Beinn Ime when the clouds came in very quickly and separated us. There has not been one sighting of him since and his body hasn’t been recovered either. So I am now trying to reach those people who don’t have internet or Facebook who may have taken him in and will be completely unaware of my desperate search for him.

“It’s been almost 7 weeks now so he could be absolutely anywhere by now and I am so desperate to get him back home.

I have put up a £5000 reward for his safe return but he is worth so much more to me than that.

If anyone has any information no matter how insignificant they think it might be please get in touch.”
